Local Outreach

Venues for getting the word out to anyone who might be interested in DFW Python events.

  • DFW Python Meetup Site - a lot of our members found us on the meetup site. If we have any group dues, it should be to help Jeff fund this advertising venue. We should also consider reaching out to the large local membership we have on this site to promote our upcoming events.
  • North Texas Linux Users Group
  • DFWUUG mailing lists
  • PHP Users Group (link, anyone?)
  • Ruby Users Group (link, anyone?)
  • Houston Python User Group (link, anyone?)
  • Austin Python User Group (link, anyone?)

There are probably other local user groups we could contact; for instance, every major database probably has a user group. Database-related talks would probably bring in some newcomers.
